I tried it. Linux Fsck On Boot Add this to /etc/rc.local: echo "-fy" > /forcefsck This will create that file with that content. Finally I just connected the disk to a Linux box and did the same thing and it worked right away, no errors left to fix on the second fsck run. Reply Link Sk.

Seeing as you are now getting this, and the that Reassign by disk failed message from smart I'd say a disk has ran out. You should see two new icons appear on the desktop when both partitions have been mounted. Is there a way to do this via SSH?
