Hello, my camera is telling me to format my memory card, and when i click that option it then tells me "memory card error" and won't let me continue the process! The tape on the locking card slot worked great. Occasionally, reinsert the SD card to see if the issue has been corrected. This was really helpful, and saved me a lot of time trying various other ways to fix my camera problem! Thank you for your hint for unlocking the camera.
If you don't have one, get one, as they're only a few dollars on Amazon. I have a Canon A480 which gave a Card Lock error message with 4 different SD cards, 2 of which didn't have any locking switches - Fix 4 worked for me Unfortunately...my Cannon Powershot SD400 is still reading "No Memory Card". Is it possible that I might have damaged something trying to take whatever was inside out?
